If you don't have cellophane bags you can use squares of cellophane. You can also use a zip log bag.

Crayon hearts You will need: Crayon pieces
Heart shaped metal muffin tin
Cellophane bags
Marker
Colored Card Stock
Scissors
Ribbon

Heat oven to 245 degrees Fill each heart mold muffin tin, bake until melted 10-15 min to catch overflow use flat cookie sheet. Be careful not to move muffin tin around too much. You want nice bright color chunks not mixed together brown.

Let cool, remove from mold

Cut heart out of card stock write message on back, write "to" and "from." Place crayon in cellophane bag and tie bag with ribbon hole punch paper heart. Slip onto ribbon and tie a knot.

Army Men
You will need: Cellophane bags
Ribbon
Scissors
Hole Punch
Marker
Army men ($ store is a great place to purchase)
Card Stock

Place army man or men into cellophane bag. Tie closed w/ribbon. Cut a heart from the card stock and add message on back write "to:" and "from:". Punch hole in heart, slip onto ribbon and tie knot to keep message in place.

Monkey Around

You will need: Monkeys (try $ dollar stores. You can always buy the game monkeys in a barrel.
Hole Punch
Cellophane or clear gift bag
Ribbon
Marker
Card stock
Scissors

Put monkey in cellophane bag tie with ribbon.

Cut a heart out of card stock. (Write message. On back write "to:" and "from:" Hole punch heart, slip onto ribbon and tie a knot to keep it on.

Plant one on me

You will need: packet of seeds any kind
Marker

Write message directly on seed packet. Write "to:" and "From:" on back.

Alternative Plant one on me

You will need: Seed packets your choice
Marker
Terra cotta pots, size depends on you
Potting soil enough to fill pots
Scissors
Card stock
Hole punch
Water
Ribbon

Have child paint, or marker terracotta pot. Let dry. Put potting soil in pot. Plant seeds. Water. Cut out heart from card stock. Write message "to:" and "from:" on back.

Hole punch heart run through hole and tie tightly around pot. If needed add small piece of tape to help ribbon stay in place.

Card Valentines

You will need: Playing cards preferably hearts
Marker
Options: sweet hearts candy
Glue

Write message on card "To a real winner"

Option 2: glue sweet hearts candy covering hearts

Healthy Valentines

You will need: apples, oranges, or bananas
Ribbon
Marker
Hole punch
Scissors
Cellophane bags
Card stock

Put fruit in cellophane bag tie close with ribbon. Cut heart from card stock and add message. Write "to:" and "from:" on back. Punch hole in heart and tie onto ribbon.

Suggested messages:
You're the apple of my eye I'm bananas for you "Orange you glad it's Valentines Day?"

Option: use any type of nuts or mixed nuts instead of fruit.

Suggested message: I'm nuts for you.

Puzzle Valentines

You will need: A picture of a child
Blank envelope
Marker
Glue/mod podge
Cardboard or heavy card stock
Scissors

Decorate blank envelope if you want. Write message. Glue or mod podge picture onto cardboard or card stock. Let dry. Cut off excess cardboard/card stock you can cut a heart shape and discard excess.

Cut up picture anyway you would like.

Put in envelope

Guess who's your valentine?

Funny Faces

You will need: red or pink card stock
Scissors
Googly eyes
Markers
Glue

Cut heart out, size is up to you. Make a funny, silly, happy or crazy face using heart as the face. (Don't draw eyes)

Use googly eyes as the eyes. You can use 2 eyes, 1 big one, several little ones. Glue in place. On back write message.

I only have eyes for you.

Camp fire valentine

you will need: small piece of tree branches
or popsicle sticks panted brown, broken in half
red tissue paper or red wrapped Hershey kisses
hot glue gun w/glue sticks
marker
hole punch
cellophane bags
ribbon
card stock
scissors

Take small tree branches, or brown popsicle sticks, and stack into a "log camp fire." Hot glue as you lay each "log." If you try to arrange all at once the logs don't stay put.

Take a small piece of red tissue paper, twist at end, and hot glue into onto "logs." These will be your "flames." You can put several small flames glued separately, or one larger and snip into flames with scissors. Or take one red Hershey kiss and hot glue on top. I prefer the kiss "flame."

Put log camp fire into cellophane bag tie closed with ribbon. Cut heart from card stock and add message. Write "to:" and "from:" on back. Punch hole in heart and tie onto ribbon.
