St. Patrick's Day Arts and Crafts for Kids

Make a shamrock collage. Cut a good size shamrock out of construction paper or poster board. I prefer poster board. Supply glue, scissors, pain, paint brushes, beads, leaves, yarn, ribbon, stickers, crayons, or markers all in green. Let kids glue down all their chosen green items. More arts and crafts projects below.

Shamrock Wand

Scissors
Glue
Glitter
Green and white ribbon
Thick wood kitchen skewers or chopsticks,
Different shades of green paint and or white paint
beads
Hot glue & glue gun

1. Paint wood skewer green, white or both. Let dry

2. Cut two shamrocks shapes out of green card stock or foam sheet. An easy way to do this is: with a pencil draw or trace a heart shape then repeat the heart shape at an angle on the left and right of the center heart having the bottom points match up so that the side hearts would be on their sides. This will give you a shamrock shape. Erase inside pencil lines and cut out.

3. With paint, glitter and beads decorate one side of each shamrock and let dry.

4. Cut ribbon to use as streamers

5. Place one shamrock decorated side down hot glue skewer pointed side up onto the back of shamrock then glue ribbon strands on back.

6. Hot glue the other shamrock decorated side up to other shamrock and skewer as to make a sandwich this creates a two sided decorated wand.

7. String beads onto some or all of ribbon streamers. Tie a knot at end of ribbon to secure beads.
