Fourth of July Party Decorations Decorations for this party are fairly simple anything red, white or blue. Flags, stars, fireworks or anything all "American" Pictures of U.S. Presidents or pictures that portray American history. Here's a couple of tabletop ideas. Use red, blue or tie-dye bandanas tied with red, white, and blue curling ribbon for a "firework" effect. Use strawberries, raspberries and or blueberries in clear glasses or vases as décor. Make a centerpiece with red and white carnations. Accent the centerpiece with small American flags and curlicues of blue curling ribbon "fireworks" attached to florist picks or wooden skewers. Tie red, white, and/or blue curling or fabric ribbon around a clear or white vase. Fill clear vases in layers "stripes" with clear, red, and blue marbles, colored glass, or plastic fish aquarium rocks. Cover your table with a red, white or blue disposable table cloth and decorate it with flag, star, or firework stickers. Write the words independence, Fourth of July, Freedom, liberty, etc. with a contrasting permanent marker on the table cloth. Tie red, white and blue bows around stuffed animals. Hollow out large red apples so a votive candle can fit inside. When buying the apples test each apple to make sure it won't wobble on a flat surface. Buy red, white and blue paper bags. Cut out star shapes on blue bags and stripes on the red bags with an exacto knife. Fill with about a cup of kitty litter. Place a votive candle in each bag on top of the kitty litter. Roll down the tops of the bags if they start to close so they won't catch on fire. The candle light will shine through the white bags and through the star and stripe cut outs on the colored bags.
