Birthday Party Ideas
Birthday parties can be a tremendous amount of fun for both you and your child or a complete disaster. When planning your next child's birthday party start with a budget. Kids want everything but you can throw a great party and still stick with a reasonable budget. What's reasonable? You should figure about $10 each for toddlers, $12 for preschoolers, $15 for grade school up to the 3rd grade and then probably about $20 per child after that. That may sound like a lot. But remember you're paying for the cake, refreshments, games and prizes. Keep activities age appropriate. If possible keep the age range of the guests within a year or two of each other. It's a challenge to keep a two year old and a six year interested in the same game. Refreshments should be simple and not require a knife and fork. Finger food is preferable. Keep portions tiny.
